WPLN HD Radio
WPLN is currently airing three HD radio program streams.
The first stream (due to FCC requirements) is a simulcast of 90.3 WPLN-FM.
The second stream, WPLN-HD2 has a completely different program schedule from 90.3 WPLN-FM or 1430 WPLN-AM. This stream offers new programs for Nashville Public Radio listeners, including current event and interview programs like The Diane Rehm Show and Here and Now.
In May, 2008, a third stream was added - WPLN-HD3 features news and information programs from NPR, PRI, The BBC and American Public Media. Several new programs, including the new morning news magazine called Bryant Park Project from NPR and The Story from APR are now broadcast here. A number of programs previously heard only on WPLN-AM, including On Point, Day to Day and Talk of the Nation, are also now available on WPLN HD-3.
Because HD radios are just beginning to make their way into consumers’ homes and cars, WPLN is pleased to make these new channels available online for internet streaming.
